Chocolate tribute to the Hungraian dog breeds

Chocolate coverIt was with great excitement that I picked up a box of sweets made by Stühmer. This dessert chocolate is part of their “Pets” series, and carries the “Ancient Hungarian dog breeds” fantasy name. What a great idea, I thought! Who could imagine a better present for someone with a sweet tooth and a passionate liking for a Hungarian dog breed (=someone like me). Smart, ornate box, with a promising komondor graphics on top. There is a little “peep-hole”, through which it was immediately clear that there would be seven pieces of chocolate, and puli, komondor, and vizsla were visible. So, I figured, one of the remaining four will be pumi. And a mudi, kuvasz, greyhound perphaps…I bet they forgot about the wire-haired vizsla and the Transylvanian hound. (I’ll forgive them, I am not so sure about the fans of these two breeds.)

So, I tear off the cellophane, open the box…hurray, another pumi relic! …and then? And then nothing! A BIG NOTHING!

It was all a big scam. Inside the box there were two pieces of komondor, puli, vizsla, and a joker with the manufacturer’s logo on it. I am sure the puli-komondor-vizsla people are over the moon, but I was a little disappointed. I hope it will taste nice at least!
